Uses 

• RJ11 is used for connecting cables that using in telephone sets.
• RJ45 is used in networking where we connect our computers or other network elements to each other.
• RJ11 is used to connect mobile phone, modems, and other telecommunication device to a wall jack or other phone line.
• RJ45 is used for test and measurement systems.
• RJ11 is great connector for old school landline phone.

DIFFERENCE

• RJ45 is bigger than RJ11. 
• RJ45 is used for networking.
• RJ11 is smaller than RJ45.
• RJ11 is used for connecting cables.
• RJ45 has 8 wires inside while RJ11 has 4 wires.
• Full form of RJ45 and RJ11 is Registered  jack -45 and 11 respectively. 
• RJ45 connectors are rectangular ,longer , bigger while RJ11 connectors are small compact and squared –shape.
• RJ11 uses 4-6 pins while RJ45 uses 8 pins
• RJ45 supports bandwidth up to 10 GBPS.
• RJ11 support bandwidth up to 24 GBPS.
• You cannot plug in the RJ45 cable connector into an RJ11.
